Board Member
February 21, 2009. Day Fifty-two. Saturday. I had a very interesting talk about salvation and eternal life with a board member before our board meeting on Saturday with Berkeley Youth Orchestra. The death of a family member came up, which led to talk about the death of a child. I began talking about H. G. Spafford and It Is Well with My Soul.

My wife and I were able to preach door to door in Pinole. The first house we went to was a family that attended the community church right across the street. The mom said, "We're ok, we go to church." But the daughter, named Theresa, listened to the whole gospel and seemed very thoughtful. She didn't know where she was going.
ReplyDeleteAlso, a Spanish man named Felipe listened to the whole gospel.
Mr. Huppert and I talked to a couple of people. One was a young man who attends First Baptist of Pinole. He was not sure about eternal security, so we discussed what the Bible said about it. The other person was Mrs. Davis, a Catholic lady. She does nursing jobs and charitable work. She liked to talk a lot. Unfortunately though, I think she is stuck on her own righteous deeds.
